On hearing the term 'good manners' we think of good habits, which make our lives easy. Good manners are important in developing a feeling of self-respect. It helps us succeed in life. A well-mannered person is also a good and responsible citizen and leads a disciplined life.

A polite person may cope up with difficulties easier than an ill mannered person. If everyone develops good manners, then the world will be a better place to live in and it would also create a sense of fraternity and good will among people.

Good manners and etiquettes are important when we communicate with our parents, teachers, friends, colleagues and others. Good manners improve the relationship between people.

"Please", "sorry", "thank you" and "excuse me" are very important while conversing with people.

Well-mannerd people are well known and liked by all. They are cultured and hence, have a better chance of being successful because of their good ways. Their character can become an inspiration for the future generations. Great men like Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi have inspired so many young people.

Thus, good manners is an essential tool for building one's character and hence, everyone must develop good manenrs.
